Overview of Research

 

Aim to provide the most effective and safe brain health supplement, we partner with Universities and top neuroscience research centres to study Brainwell. Our research focus in finding the effect of Brainwell on brain cells protection and also on Amyloid-Beta (Aβ); a well known toxics protein that is believed to be one of the cause to brain degeneration.

REDUCED Aβ AGGREGATION

 

“Co-incubation of Aβ with Brainwell extract, at 5mg/mL, reduced Aß aggregation was determined.” A reduction of 40% was found.

 

Explain

Aβ itself is not harmful to the brain, however, when it aggregates it will become a toxic protein, which can damage brain health.

REVERSE Aß - INDUCED CYTOTOXICITY

 

When brain cell PC12 “Cultures treated with Brainwell extracts, at 5 mg/mL, could reverse Aβ- induced cytotoxicity.” Brainwell was able to increase cells visibility by 26%.

 

Explain

When Aβ 10μm is added to the brain cells cultures, its toxicity kills some of the cells, reducing its visibility to 42%.

When Brainwell is applied, cells visibility level increase to 68%, showing that it reduces the amount of cells damage.

REVERSE OF Aß AGGREGATION

 

“Co-incubation of Aβ (10μm) with Brainwell extracts, at 5 mg/mL, reverse of Aβ aggregation was determined (compared with control). The reversion of Aβ aggregation reached to the maximum at 3 days incubation of Brainwell extracts.”

 

Explain

As the aggregation of Aβ creates toxic damage in brain, we explore the effects of Brainwell in reversing Aβ aggregation. Data indicates that Brainwell was able to reverse Aβ aggregation in our cells model research by around 32% by day 3.

 
 

Government Grant Funded Research

The research of Brainwell was conducted in Hong Kong at a top science and technology university, the research was granted for Hong Kong SAR government approval and funding.
